Q In "How to Write", Tom Romano explores the diverse and complex nature of the writing process. After reading this text, I want you to write an analysis paragraph that explores how Romano addresses the topic. What kind of language does he use? How does he utilize description? How does he engage the reader? Is his writing relatable? These are all questions you can ask yourself as you address this topic. I also want you to compare how we write to why we write. Do these two ideas go hand-in-hand, or are they separate? The requirements for your analysis paragraph are as follows: • Follows MLA formatting guidelines; • Has a well-developed thesis statement; • Is 10-12 sentences in length*; • Utilizes academic language and appropriate grammar/mechanics; • Demonstrates critical thinking and originality. • Assignment must be attached as a document. DO NOT attach as a share link. *Keep in mind that these are 10-12 complex, compound sentences. A paragraph made up solely of simple sentences that fail to showcase critical thought and commentary does not meet criteria, and this will be reflected in the grade. If you include any evidence/quotes from the Romano article, make sure that you're properly citing the source material to avoid plagiairism. If you've never written an analysis paragraph before, please refer to the handout in the unit materials section.
